VSU students participate in archiving fellowship

During 2019 February events, Race Capitol joined RVA DIRT to fund raise for a positive cause in such a traumatic time in politics. Through the help of Virginia State University Political Science Professor Dr. Wes Bellamy, 5 scholars were chosen to participate in an 8 week fellowship to learn research & archiving techniques on the most talked about artifact of 2019: the college yearbook.

Congrats to Erika Neal, Briana Harris, Daesia Smith, Ja’Neese Jefferson, and Mychala Walker as they continue their work this summer.

The scholars plan to compile their findings and present throughout the state for their recommendations to higher-ed institutions and to our Virginia Legislators. STAY TUNED
