After listening to women’s reactions to not being heard not believed by the United States Senate, I invited stories from women in my city. I asked them to share their sacred experiences of sexual assault and I am grateful for their trust. I’m honored to host a platform where we lead the conversation and are the conversation.

Jamie Nolan is the Director of the Commonwealth Victory Fund – the joint fundraising arm of the Virginia House and Senate Democratic Caucuses.
She was elected President of Virginia Young Democrats for two terms and continues to serve on the board as National Committee Representative to the Young Democrats of America.
Jamie currently serves as the Chair of the Richmond City Democratic Committee and in leadership roles with the Metro Richmond Area Young Democrats and Virginia21 Young Professionals Advisory Council.
She has worked on Democratic campaigns at every level in Virginia, and uses her voice to bring particular focus on uplifting young and diverse candidates. Jamie was raised in the Northern Neck, and has called Richmond home since 2002, when she moved here to study Political Science at Virginia Commonwealth University.
Alexsis Rodgers is a Hanover-native and VCU graduate who serves as the Director of Communications for Planned Parenthood Advocates of Virginia and Virginia League for Planned Parenthood. Previously, she led state legislative affairs and message strategy for the Office of Lieutenant Governor Ralph Northam. Alexsis has managed award-winning communications and advocacy campaigns focused on college affordability, public transportation, pediatric care, labor rights and environmental initiatives. Alexsis is a leader in the Democratic Party, serving as President of Virginia Young Democrats and First Vice Chair of the Richmond City Democratic Committee. She is a proud alumna and board member of the women's candidate training program, Emerge Virginia, and also serves on the board of Virginia Pride.

“I'm an Algerian American activist who wants to help uplift the voices of young people of color in Richmond. After directing a charity fundraiser to raise funds for Flint, Michigan in 2017, I began getting more involved in RVA activism and co-founded the Youth Coalition for Justice.”
Stephanie Younger
"Stephanie Younger is a Black student activist who advocates for STEAM Diversity, Black Youth Empowerment Womanism, Youth Prison Reform and Community Nonviolence. She has given other young Black girls the experience of coding by launching Girls Who Code RVA in a predominantly Black neighborhood. She also advocates for community non violence with the Richmond Peace Education Center, and campaigns for alternatives to youth incarceration with RISE For Youth."
On the show we have Ngiste Abebe who is the co-founder and co-director of the New Leaders Council (NLC) that just launched their Virginia Chapter.
I met Ngiste last year during the Virginia gubernatorial race in 2017 as she escorted Ralph Northam to the finish line in November and has now taken her talents to elevate our state senator of va Jennifer McClellan.
So between NLC, her work with Senator McClellan she also has a consulting firm, Aulenor (OH-leh-nor) consulting, that designs inclusive story telling training’s for activists, advocates, and candidates.
